Running a sports club goes well beyond looking after a team: you have to bring a community together, find funding and keep supporters coming back, often on a tight budget. The experience of AS Avion Futsal, a semi-professional club in the French first division of futsal, shows that shift through its volunteer president, Franck Delepine.
An ambitious club, a determined president
When Franck Delepine took over the club, the situation was critical: « There were no young players left. There was nothing left at all. » In three years, the club went from 31 to 190 licensed members and reached the top division. That growth made modernising and finding new revenue unavoidable.
Meeting Sfeira at the right moment
« I was thinking about structuring the club and computerising everything… SFEIRA arrived at the right moment. » For Franck, the difference lies in the human approach and tools suited to the field: « Without the right tools, amateur clubs cannot move forward. »
Step 1 — online ticketing
In November 2024, Avion Futsal became the first club to use Sfeira ticketing. The results were clear:
- Ticketing revenue multiplied by 3.3: from €3,000 to €10,000 in a matter of months.
- Time saved for volunteers and a simpler welcome for spectators.
- A modernised image for the club.
Step 2 — online memberships
Buoyed by that success, the club moved its memberships online: « No more lost paperwork, it is entirely paper-free and simpler for everyone. » Sign-up and payment on one platform, secure tracking, less admin.
« For me, SFEIRA is more of a partner than a supplier. I feel listened to. We move forward together. »
As Franck concludes: « This is only the beginning! There is still plenty to do. »
